Grants to USA nonprofit organizations for a range of programs related to HIV and AIDS. Applicants are required to submit an LOI prior to submitting a full application. Funding may be requested for education, research, and direct care and services. Requests from throughout the US are considered, with a particular interest in smaller communities and rural areas.

Grants are made to support developing or established programs, with emphasis on direct benefit to clients or target audiences. 

Previous requests receiving serious consideration have included:

  • Requests from locations with a scarcity of available funding;
  • Requests for seed money for new projects, programs, or structures;
  • Innovative ideas for meeting standard needs.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applying organizations should have a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Requests from throughout the US are considered, with a particular interest in smaller communities and rural areas.

The Hofmann Foundation will review all inquiries and provide an emailed response with an invitation to submit a full grant application, a request for further information, or a denial. Only those applicants who receive a favorable response to their letter of inquiry are able to access the full application to submit a grant proposal.
