Grants of up to $25,000 to USA nonprofit organizations and government agencies in multiple states to address water quality, aquatic habitats, and fishing populations. Funding is intended for hands-on projects that will directly improve aquatic habitat or water quality for recreational species. Projects must be conducted in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee, New Hampshire, or Washington.
Non-profit, 501(c3) organizations, state, and local governments are invited to apply. Proposals submitted by government agencies must include and demonstrate the active participation of local, volunteer organizations.
Ineligible
Projects that are purely educational, research, or outreach are not eligible for funding under this solicitation. Projects which clearly demonstrate direct improvement to habitat for fisheries resources and which incorporate research or education as a minor component may be considered for funding.

Ideally, work under this funding will be mostly completed by August 31, 2024, but may be extended to no later than October 1, 2024.
