Grants to USA, Canada, and International institutions of higher education for the creation or implementation of courses related to the Holocaust. Funding may be used towards educational training and resources to enhance preparations for a course, such as travel costs for faculty to visit Holocaust sites in Europe or to participate in pedagogically oriented programs. Additionally, funding may be used towards the acquisition of new university/college library materials that would support teaching about the Holocaust. Preference will be given to applications from institutions and departments that do not currently offer courses focused on the Holocaust.

In the past the teaching grant has provided support from a few hundred to several thousand dollars per project. In certain cases the Foundation will consider larger requests.

Institutions of higher education may apply.

The Foundation especially welcomes applications from institutions and departments that do not currently offer courses focused on the Holocaust.

For a new course to be eligible for a teaching grant, the course must count toward a degree at an accredited, nonprofit institution of higher education.

There are no geographic restrictions for applicants.

Grants are intended to support the creation of new courses, not the development of textbooks or electronic materials that would be later sold.

The Foundation accepts applications on a rolling basis.

Before starting your grant application, please review the funding source's website listed below for updates/changes/addendums/conferences/LOIs.
